Description
Fishermen will love the new Bob’s boarding ladder. New laws are requiring boats in many states to have boarding ladders. Why have some large bulky item that needs to be drilled into your transom when you never plan on getting in the water? The new Bob’s Ladder can mount to either your jack plate directly, or can be attached to the standard BIA engine mounting bolts. No new holes to drill in the boat! And it is rock solid in the event you do need to have a boarding ladder. And the Bob’s ladder has a nyoil bushing so no rattling noise unlike others on the market.
Changing a prop or clearing weeds from the motor usually requires a trip overboard. To make re-boarding easier, Bob’s Machine Shop offers a new engine-mounted ladder that deploys with a pull of the pin.
The two-step ladder mounts directly on BMS’s 8″, 10″, 12″, and 14″ jack plates, or for 4″ and 6″ jack plates over the motor’s standard BIA bolt pattern with an optional mounting bracket. It deploys through an oil-impregnated polymer bearing, which minimizes noise from boat vibration and eliminates binding in saltwater. Rubberized rungs are used for comfort and traction.
Operation is easy. A pull on the integrated, spring-loaded pin lowers the ladder for use. When returned to the stowed position, the ladder re-locks into place.
Constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, the ladder is offered in port- or starboard-side models. It comes with easy-to-use instructions, including a mounting template. BMS’s limited lifetime warranty applies.
